About the Artist.

I am a Self-taught Artist living in SA. I enjoy painting all genres from landscape, sometimes floral, portrait, and wildlife. I paint primarily in oil. The beauty of SA-Wildlife has moved me to begin a Wildlife Collection.

Artist Statement.

My art Journey started out as a Self-taught Artist, with no one to show me first-hand, I started to study from Art books, I had a voracious appetite to learn. I visited local Library's, searching for Art books. In my quest to become a better painter, I improved my skills with practice, and perseverance, despite all the pitfalls I experience. I was determined to paint; I have never regretted it. My encouragement comes from seeing real paintings, visiting Art Galleries, for the first time I could smell the paint, marvel at the brushwork, feeling the texture, seeing Art raw first-hand encouraged me to try out different mediums. I took up watercolour and acrylic mediums, and experimented with paper, texture, canvas and brushes. I finally developed an interest in Oil paint. I began to like the results, and seeing how my Audience responds to my work, gives me a sense of belonging, and appreciation. I hope my passion for Painting will inspire you to take an interest in my work.
